Carpool Etiquette

What to do:

• Give your carpool partners plenty of notice if you can’t make it or will be late.

• Always drive safely.

• Keep your vehicle clean and in good condition.

• Respect any restrictions your carpool partners have agreed on. If there is anything that you are not comfortable with discuss it with the rest of the carpoolers.

What NOT to do:

• Don’t make a habit of being late.

• Don’t ask your carpool partners to make extra stops that don’t pertain to everyone. For example: don’t stop for coffee or at the grocery store unless everyone agrees to.

• Don’t play offensive music and always be sensitive to how loud your music is playing.

• Don’t engage in conversations that will make other uncomfortable or cause conflict (i.e. religion, politics, etc.)

• Don’t have lengthy cell phone conversations while carpooling.
